Earlier, producer Namit Malhotra and the producers officially confirmed that the first trailer of Ramayana will be released globally on July 24. The announcement was accompanied by a special message celebrating the epic’s lasting legacy.The producers wrote, “From Bharat to the world. For thousands of years, Ramayana has inspired generations with its timeless message of dharma, mayada, courage and compassion. Now, it begins a new journey. One of the greatest civilizational epics of Bharat, presented to the world on a scale that Indian cinema has never attempted.” The trailer of “Ramayana” will premiere worldwide on July 24. “
A star-studded cast brings the epic to life
Ramayana is directed by Nitesh Tiwari and features a cast that portrays some of the most iconic characters in the Indian epic. Ranbir Kapoor will play the role of Lord Ram while Sai Pallavi will play the role of Sita. Ravie Dubey will essay the role of Laxman, while Yash will essay the character of Ravan.
Epic Legend Project released in two parts
As a two-part film event, the makers plan to have a wide theatrical run for two consecutive years. The first part is scheduled to release during Diwali 2026, while the final chapter is expected to release during Diwali 2027.
