Chloe Fineman writes a heartfelt letter

It’s with bittersweet emotion that Chloe Fineman expressed her gratitude for being a part of the much-loved show. “After seven wonderful seasons on ‘Saturday Night Live,’ I’ve decided it’s time to move on to my next chapter. It’s a cliché to say this, but working on ‘Saturday Night Live’ has been the greatest honor of my life. I still can’t believe I got to be a part of it. I fell in love with this place as soon as I walked in the door,” Fineman wrote in the caption of her post, before adding that she was surrounded by “the best people in the business.”From working in visual effects (VFX) to sewing costumes at the 11th hour, Fineman reflects on her time acting and writing sketches. “10 hours of sewing a jojo Siwa outfit. Writing a cold draft on Saturday at 2 p.m. Finishing the VFX for the video (I don’t know if ‘finishing the VFX’ is the right technical term, but you know what I mean) minutes before getting dressed,” she shared.Fineman further described the devastating feeling when producers disagreed with her sketches. In hindsight, the artist now agrees with their decision and claims the bill, titled “Lipstick for Rough Dogs,” should have been voted down. “When your sketches don’t get picked, you cry uncontrollably. You burst into the production office and tell them they just made the biggest mistake of their lives. You call everyone you know to complain. “You look back years later and it was a sketch called ‘Rough Dog Lipstick,'” she said, continuing, “But it was just a show.”Finman concluded by saying, “It’s hard to leave SNL, but it definitely feels like the right time. I’m going to miss it terribly. But the people who work there are my family, that place is my home, and I know I’ll never be too far away.” I swear to God, one day, sometime in the future, they will make lipstick for these dogs. “
