The fifth and final T20I match between India and England at the Rose Bowl in Southampton was postponed as the team encountered traffic jams on their way to the stadium. It was originally scheduled to be played before the kick-off at 7:00 pm IST, but due to the delay in India’s arrival at the venue, the pre-match proceedings had to be postponed. Live footage later showed the team arriving at the stadium and preparations resumed. As a result, the tossing event has been rescheduled for 7:15pm IST and the start of the match has been postponed to 7:30pm IST, provided there are no further delays. The postponement comes ahead of a crucial match for Shriyas Iyer’s side, who look to avoid a series whitewash as England lead an undisputed 3-0 in the five-match series with the first game inconclusive.England, meanwhile, are aiming for a dominant 4-0 series win and the possibility of climbing to the top of the ICC Men’s T20I rankings with another victory.Despite the brief disruption caused by traffic, officials expect the entire game to go ahead with only a 30-minute delay from the scheduled game time.
