According to reports, the Mavelikkara police in Kerala’s Alappuzha district registered a case against Mollywood actor Vinayakan for allegedly insulting women, putting him in legal trouble.According to Mathrubhumi reports, the case stemmed from the alleged sharing of photos of an underage girl on Facebook. The police took action on the instructions of the Kerala State Commission for Protection of Child Rights.It is understood that this incident can be traced back to July last year. The committee reportedly directed the police to register an FIR after reviewing the matter at a meeting in Alappuzha.

Complaint alleges photos and phone numbers were shared online

According to reports, the complaint was lodged by a Tazakala native currently working in Mumbai. According to the complaint, Vinayakan allegedly shared photos of the complainant’s minor daughter on Facebook without consent.The complainant claimed that he had earlier forwarded a Facebook post related to the actor through WhatsApp. He claimed that this made Vinayakan uneasy. The actor then allegedly uploaded a screenshot containing the complainant’s WhatsApp profile photo, which showed his eight-year-old daughter. The post also allegedly contained the complainant’s phone number and obscene remarks.The complainant further stated that the Facebook post resulted in multiple phone calls from unknown persons. He claimed that several callers abused him after obtaining his contact number through the post.

The police register cases in accordance with various regulations

Following the alleged incident, the girl’s father sought legal intervention from the Kerala State Commission for Protection of Child Rights. After examining the complaint, the committee directed the Mavelikara police to take appropriate action.Based on the committee’s recommendations, the police registered a case against Vinayakan. In addition to allegations of degrading women, authorities also cited sections of the Information Technology (IT) Act in connection with the case.It is expected that the investigation will be conducted in accordance with applicable legal requirements. Police have not announced any further action in the matter.

The Jailer 2 cast has faced controversy in the past

This is not the first time Vinayakan has been at the center of controversy. The actor has drawn attention to several incidents over the years for his public behavior and social media activity.He has previously been criticized for allegedly abusive language and controversial online posts, even one targeting the late Oommen Chandy, the former chief minister of Kerala.
