Rahul sparked backlash after he made comments on the alleged murder case involving Ketan Agarwal and his fiancée Siya Goyal. Although Rahul recently left X (formerly Twitter), Chinmayi continues to address the issue through social media, condemning abusive messages.
Chinmayi says trolls targeted her son
In a seven-minute video posted on Twitter(X), Chinmayi said Rahul Ravindran decided to leave the platform after seeing a post in which he wished his son dead. She said: “Rahul’s endurance reached its limit when he saw this particular tweet, which said he would pray for my son’s death. He was calling more people to attend his bhajana mandali and wanted my son to die. This is simply because they cannot control their emotions or anger.She also spoke about rape culture, misogyny, sexual harassment and growing online hate, saying that involving children in such attacks crossed all boundaries. She added, “If you abuse my children, I wish nothing but horror, a long, and horrific life.”

Chinmayi later shared screenshots of messages she claimed were sent by trolls targeting her family. She wrote in the post that some Telugu social media users wanted her children dead because they believed she was “anti-feminist” and opposed to women speaking out. She also said that she and Rahul are parents to three-year-old twins and claimed that online groups continued to spread hatred against her children. Chinmayi further said that people who encourage such behavior should not be supported on social media.
Rahul Ravindran earlier announced his exit from Twitter (now X)
Rahul Ravindran had earlier announced that he was leaving X (formerly Twitter) after reading abusive posts against his family. He said in a statement that the messages deeply affected him and made him realize it was time to leave the platform. He also mentioned that he didn’t like what he thought after reading the post targeting his children and decided to delete the app from his phone. Chinmayi’s latest post attracted widespread attention, with many social media users expressing support for the couple and condemning online abuse of children.
