Farrakhan reveals family connections ‘no one knew about’
Revealing the news to the audience during her visit, Farah Khan said, “Let me tell everyone. Neelam and I are related. No one knows this. We are cousins, but not blood related. Neelam’s mother’s sister is my aunt.”Neelam Kothari later stepped in to clarify the exact nature of the connection, adding, “My aunt Mona was married to her uncle. Uncle Saroj.”
Farah Khan recalls teaching Neelam dance in Hong Kong
The two also took a nostalgic trip, with Farah recalling how in the actress’s debut film, she was assigned to teach Neelam dance, only for the lessons to go the other way. Farah shared, “When Neelam first came to Hong Kong, my aunt sent me to teach her. I used to dance and break dance. I was sent to teach her. I didn’t teach her anything. She taught me because she was doing jazz ballet.“Neelam fondly recalled the same memory, saying, “I remember you teaching me the Michael Jackson dance moves. The moonwalk. All those Michael Jackson dance moves.”Farah Khan further revealed that their career paths crossed again a few years later when she choreographed a song for Neelam along with actor Jackie Shroff in the film Laat Saab.
