Expectations from Sooryavanshi continue to soar as he is likely to make his senior debut for India in the ongoing T20I series against England.When talking about the youngster’s potential on Sky Sports, Karthik highlighted Soriyavanshi’s fearless mentality and ability to score freely against any opponent.“I think it’s just his ability to score runs all over the pitch and the rhythm with which he bats. The fact that he doesn’t get confused no matter who the opponent is. That fearlessness is a special quality,” Karthik said.While acknowledging the teenager’s immense talent, Karthik reminded everyone that every young cricketer goes through challenging phases, both on and off the field.“Like everyone in life, I’m sure he will face challenges with batting and with things happening outside cricket. He needs to learn how to deal with those situations. Right now, everything is looking good, but tougher days will come,” he added.When asked how far Sooryavanshi can go in the game, Karthik left little doubt.“The sky is the limit. I really feel he can be a phenomenal T20 batsman and I don’t understand why he can’t break a lot of records in that format,” he said.“My one piece of advice is to learn to deal with the noise off the field in a healthy way, because that will be the biggest challenge he faces in today’s world,” Katic concluded.
