TSLPRB Notification 2026: The Telangana government has approved filling 5,000 vacancies in the police department through direct recruitment. The recruitment process will be conducted by the Telangana State Police Recruitment Board (TSLPRB) as per the government orders issued after reviewing the staffing requirements.The approval is issued by the Finance (HRM.VII) Department after assessment of personnel requirements under the administrative control of the Director General of Police (DGP). According to media reports, the government has directed the Telangana State Police Recruitment Board (TSLPRB) to obtain all necessary recruitment details from the Home Ministry and Director General of Police and then issue recruitment notification and examination schedule at the earliest.Cadre vacancies approvedAs per the government order, the approved vacancies cover multiple levels and specialized units within the police department. This recruitment includes 148 posts of Sub-Inspector (Civilian), 14 posts of Sub-Inspector (Armed Reserve), 12 posts of Reserve Sub-Inspector of Telangana Special Police and 3 posts of Sub-Inspector of Special Service Armed Reserve Central Police Line.
Besides, 23 posts of Assistant Sub-Inspector have also been sanctioned in the Fingerprint Bureau. The largest proportion of vacancies is in police positions, with 3,697 civilian police positions and 1,052 armed reserve police positions. The approved vacancies also include 24 constable posts, 20 constable (driver) posts and seven constable (mechanic) posts in the Special Armed Reserve Central Police Line.Recruitment will begin after passing the reviewBefore issuing the recruitment notification, the Telangana State Police Recruitment Board has been directed to obtain cadre vacancy details, roster points, eligibility criteria and other recruitment related details from the Home Department and the Director General of Police.The government has directed that these details should be verified before issuing recruitment notifications and examination schedules. It has asked the recruitment committee to complete the process as soon as possible to facilitate timely appointments.Ministry of Home Affairs directs to provide detailsThe government has also directed the Ministry of Home Affairs to immediately provide all necessary recruitment-related information. This includes cadre vacancies, reservation roll details, stipulated qualifications and other details required for the recruitment process.Submission of these details will enable the recruitment committee to finalize the recruitment notification and examination schedule. The Telangana State Police Recruitment Board will continue the direct recruitment process for the sanctioned 5,000 police vacancies in the notified cadre once the required information is received from the Home Ministry and Director General of Police.
