Sanjay Leela Bhansali He is often described by actors as a demanding filmmaker who strives for perfection on set. Veteran actor Yatin Karyekar has worked with the director “Bajirao Mastani”, recently shared his experience of working under Bhansali, recalling the filmmaker’s strict nature as well as the lighter moments he shared with his co-stars. Ranveer Singh.In an interview with Siddharth Kannan, Karyekar revealed that he and Ranveer developed a close friendship during the shoot, although they were careful not to let fun interfere with work.He said, “Ranveer and I are like friends. We hit it off very well. We had a dharma ritual on the sets. Sanjay Ji is very strict, so not in front of him. But when we sit together alone, it’s pure fun. He (Sanjay Leela Bhansali) is a little too strict.” The director is God to me. “Kalika also recounts witnessing Bhansali lose his temper with the actor Aditya Pancholi During filming. According to him, Pancholi was scolding a junior artiste when the director intervened.“I once saw him yelling at Aditya Pancholi. Aditya was scolding some junior artist, so Sanjay shouted, ‘You tell Aditya to shut up.'” That wasn’t good. I’ve heard many examples of his temper. A senior artist threw a chair at her when she couldn’t move forward. He broke a lot of cell phones and microphones. I’m fully prepared for all this. Aditya is shocked. He didn’t expect this,” he added.Despite recalling Bhansali’s fiery temper, Kalika was full of praise for the filmmaker’s creative abilities, naming him as one of the best directors in the industry.“He’s a genius, a creative genius. If there are two pillars of this industry – it’s him and Rajkumar Hirani. Both have different working styles. People didn’t even realize that they were on the sets of Raju’s film. Everything was cool and peaceful. There is no tension. Everyone is smiling,” he concluded.“Bajirao Mastani” was released in 2015, starring Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra Jonas. The historical drama was a critical and commercial success, winning widespread acclaim for its performances, music and visual grandeur.
