Aamir Khan will marry his girlfriend Gauri Spratt on July 5. This will be his third wedding. Unlike the grand celebrations he hosted for the 25th anniversary of Aamir Khan Productions, which was launched with Ashutosh Gowariker’s critically acclaimed 2001 film Lagaan, the actor opted for a private and low-key ceremony this time.Aamir and Gauri will register their marriage at the actor’s residence in Bandra, Mumbai. According to Screen, the couple is expected to hold a small wedding on the morning of July 5, with only immediate family and close friends in attendance. Aamir and Gauri’s four children from previous marriages will reportedly play a role in the festivities, so the ceremony is expected to be particularly meaningful. These include Aamir’s children, actors Junaid Khan Entrepreneur Ira Khan has a son from his first marriage to Reena Dutta, his son Azad from his marriage to film producer Kiran Rao, and Gauri’s son from a previous marriage.Aamir and Gauri first met in Bangalore through the actor’s cousin Nuzhat Khan. After dating for almost a year, Aamir introduced Gauri to the media as his partner before celebrating his 60th birthday in March last year. The couple has since been living in his Bandra home.Last month, Aamir confirmed that he will marry Gauri on July 5.Prior to joining Aamir in Mumbai, Gauri worked with a leading hair care brand in Bengaluru. She is now working with Aamir Khan Productions, assisting the actor with the production house’s work.When asked earlier about the possibility of marriage, Aamir responded with his trademark humour, “Iss umar mein shaadi karna mujhe shobha nahi deta (It doesn’t feel right to get married at my age),” before adding that he feels very “settled” with Gauri now.
