Shooting has started
Shanaya has reportedly completed the brief shooting schedule of the film. Deccan Chronicle quoted: “She wisely chose a zombie comedy opposite an actor who is still on the rise rather than make a film opposite a big star and get lost in the frame. Things are tough for these young actors, who are already overexposed due to numerous posts in the media. Telugu films are likely to be venturing into new territories for her.“
Shanaya Kapoor’s early association with ‘Vrushabha’
This is not the first time that Shanaya has been associated with South Indian films. Earlier, she was announced as Mohanlal‘s multi-lingual project ‘Vrushabha’, directed by Nand Kishore and backed by Ekta Kapoor Productions.The film is scheduled to release across India in Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Hindi and Kannada. Shanaya was even involved in the early stages of filming and announced on social media that her first schedule was complete.Sharing an update on what was going on on set at the time, she wrote, “We wrapped up our first shoot schedule for #Vrushabha and that’s a wrap.” Shanaya reportedly ended up leaving Vrushabha due to date-related issues before the shoot was completed.The reported sequel to Zombie Reddy now looks set to be her first Telugu release if the project goes ahead as planned. Shanaya Kapoor recently starred in the survival thriller Tu Yaa Main, which received rave reviews from the audience.
