I know the PR agencies and so-called friends of the decision-makers will start blaming Shreyas Iyer,” Manoj Tiwari said.The former India batsman stressed that the defeat was a collective one and warned against criticizing Iyer individually. Tiwari said the entire batting unit was struggling and the role of the coaching staff should also be examined.“It is not only Shreyas Iyer’s fault as a batsman but also the fault of other batsmen who cannot perform. This mechanism will blame Shreyas Iyer for the series loss. The problem is not the player but the elephant that sits quietly in the dressing room and goes unaddressed most of the time. It is high time we address this issue,” Tiwari added.
