The Tamil Nadu Medical Selection Board has started accepting online applications for the MBBS/BDS course for the academic year 2026-27. Candidates who qualify for admission can apply on the online admission portal while waiting for the final result of NEET-UG 2026. The National Testing Agency (NTA) is yet to announce the revised NEET-UG results after the re-examination on June 21. NTA announced the resumption of exams following allegations of leaks in the May 3 exams. After the objection period for provisional answers is over, all the candidates are eagerly waiting for the release of the final answers or results.Tamil Nadu is still conducting the admission process after the delay in the declaration of NEET-UG 2026 results to ensure that there is enough time to prepare for coaching when the entrance exam results are announced.Candidates seeking admission to undergraduate medical and dental courses can apply through the official website of the state medical admissions portal.
Eligibility criteria
Applicants must fulfill the following criteria before submitting their application: They must pass the NEET-UG examination. They should have passed Class 12 examination or equivalent examination issued by a recognized board. Candidates must be at least 17 years of age to be eligible for admission.

Candidates should have the following documents ready while filling up the application form: NEET-UG 2026 re-examination admit card and scorecard, grade 10 transcript, grade 11 transcript, high school (grade 12) transcript, transfer certificate obtained after completing Plus Two or equivalent examination, proof of study from grades 6 to 12, 6 years outside Tamil Nadu Birth certificate of selected learners of class 12, supporting materials Documents of local candidates from Tamil Nadu who have completed their studies in Tamil Nadu, Permanent Community Certificate Card, First Post Graduate Certificate.Candidates applying for first batch graduates benefit are also required to submit relevant certificates issued by the competent authority while getting admission in the allotted college.
