Aaron Lewis was completely surprised when fans and netizens took to platforms like X and Instagram to share that they had received cryptic lyrics along with the CD of “I Knew It, I Knew You” sitting in a scrap paper used for buffering.He later shared that the scrap, which many fans thought was from the “Opalite” singer, is actually part of his upcoming album “Give Me Back My Country,” which is set to be released worldwide on July 17. The singer posted a video on his X account in which a fan unwraps the CD and discovers mysterious photos and lyrics among the packaging materials.He shared the video with the caption: “Oh look, here’s my new album, it’s not out yet and it’s ripped into the wrapping paper for Taylor Swift merchandise. Isn’t that some shit?” Parts of his lyric book and other album printed materials were taped to the packaging.

Aaron Lewis recounts the incident
In an interview with USA Today, Aaron talked about how surprising the incident was since his album hadn’t been released yet. He shared that he first learned about it when he saw fans of the singer making unboxing videos trying to decipher his lyrics and wondering if they came from Swift.He added, “I didn’t see anything like that, and when it happened in front of me, I was like, ‘What’s going on? This is so weird.'” This is the cover of my brand new record that hasn’t been released yet. It’s not like they decided to make packaging materials out of old stuff that was just sitting around. This is my new record. I just don’t understand how this could happen. “He also clarified that he wasn’t blaming Swift or her team for the issue because he didn’t personally know what was going on. As of this writing, the “Blank Space” singer has yet to release any statement.
