India sealed the three-match T20I series against Zimbabwe with a 90-run victory in the second match on Saturday to take an undisputed 2-0 lead.Half-centuries from Ishan Kishan and Tilak Varma, along with a disciplined bowling effort, helped India post a score of 219/5 against the hosts.The win also gave him a new T20I captain Shreyas Iyer India lost the first two T20I series under him, to Ireland (0-2) and England (0-4), and this was his first win in the series.Chasing 220 runs, Zimbabwe’s task became difficult after they lost five wickets in the first nine overs. They were eventually bowled out for 129 runs.Brian Bennett got off to an aggressive start for Zimbabwe, scoring 32 runs off 19 balls with three fours and three sixes. He battled debutant Yash Thakur with back-to-back sixes and fours, but the pacers reacted immediately when Bennett’s attempted angled shot was caught by wicketkeeper Kishan.

However, the left-arm pacer had the final say as Surivanshi mistakenly bowled Muzarabani at mid-off.From then on, Kishan and Tilak took control of the situation and earned India another comfortable win.
