According to a report in Variety India, Kalyani’s role in “Pralay” is designed to be an action-oriented one. Far from the stereotypical ‘damsel in distress’, the actress will be seen performing elaborate fight scenes and high-stakes stunts alongside Ranveer Singh. According to reports, Kalyani’s performance as Yakshagana in Loka: Chapter 1, Chandra, has impressed the audience and earned the trust of filmmakers, who are planning big action sequences for her in their upcoming films.To prepare for the physically demanding role, she, like her co-star Ranveer Singh, will undergo specialized training under the tutelage of a renowned international stunt coordinator and action expert.

Producers expect the film to be one of India’s biggest cinematic spectacles, and they aim to deliver action sequences that match the scale and intensity of Hollywood blockbusters. Sources say Kalyani’s stunt choreography is designed to rival some of the most memorable female-led action shows on the international stage. After an extensive pre-production phase, Pralay is expected to hit theaters next month.According to reports, Ranveer Singh will complete the first schedule before taking paternity leave around Diwali. The actor is expected to return to the set in 2027 to begin filming the second phase of the project. With an estimated budget of nearly Rs 300 crore, “Pralay” will be a massive VFX-driven zombie thriller set in a dystopian post-apocalyptic world. The film is directed and co-produced by Jai Mehta Hansal Mehta‘s true story film and Ranveer Singh’s Maa Kasam film.
The “Lokah” series continues to expand
Apart from her Bollywood debut, Kalyani Priyadarshan is also all set to return to the world of ‘Lokah’. The actress recently confirmed that the filming of Lokah: Chapter 2 is expected to begin in September. The sequel will center on Chasen, played by Tovino Thomas, and will once again be written and directed by Dominic Aron. Produced by Dulquer Salmaan, the ambitious five-part series draws inspiration from local folklore, with the actors also playing an important role in the overall narrative.
